DATA ULIXES one of the 9 best projects of the Interactive Digital Stories Track, Madeira Film Festival 2018
DATA ULIXES has been considered by the jury of the Interactive Digital Stories Track 2018 as one of the 9 best projects and it will be showcased during the event (16th-18th May).
Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (www.m-iti.org) in collaboration with Madeira Film Festival create a Interactive Digital Stories Track (MFF-IDST). The initiative aims to foster an international discussion about new forms of interactive digital storytelling. The goal is to celebrate experimentation and the convergence of film, art, and new media technology.
This edition aims to provide a “critical snapshot of Today’s world”, and does so by calling for interactive digital narratives which explore one or more of the following topics:
– Digital Self;
– Resilience in times of social, environmental and economic crisis;
– The post-truth society.
The competition is open to fiction and non-fiction storytelling projects which promote interactivity in imaginative ways. MFF-IDST particularly welcomes projects that leverage portable and/or mobile technologies (e.g. Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, GPS, etc.) and transmedia storytelling to push the limits of traditional aesthetics and structures of interactive digital narratives.
